INTRODUCTION

The Industrial Training Institute, Daman, was established in the year 1978 functions constructively under the U. T. Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, approved by Directorate General of Employment & Training (DGE&T) under National Council for Vocational Training, Ministry of Labor, offering training in various trades.

The Institute imparts training of One Year / Two Year in Engineering and NonEngineering Courses approved by the Govt. of India in Fitter, Turner, Electrician, Wireman, Electronics Mechanics, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Diesel Mechanic, Welder, Plastic Processing Operator Trade, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant, Cutting & Sewing and Information Technology.

The Institute is established with the aim of imparting technical skills to students allowing them to get exposure of the industries and organizations, get new insights & viewpoints and fresh ideas about the working techniques. The institute also provides the students an opportunity to escalate & understand the practical aspects of their academic programme.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

With an objective of ensuing a steady flow of skilled workers and to reduce unemployment among the educated youth by training & equipping them for suitable Industrial employment and as well as for self-employment. The Institute imparts training in Engineering & Non-Engineering, Two year / One-year Trade Courses approval by the Govt. of India in consultation with the National Council for Vocational Training, New Delhi. The Trainees on completion of the Training courses is assured of the jobs with the Institute, for which the follow up action is taken after the declaration of result.

The Govt. Industrial Training Institute, Daman which was established in the year 1978 and is taking professional shape in state-of-the-art Craftsman Training campus to cater to the educational needs of the trainees in the field of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.

The Institution strives to give quality craftsman training in the field / trades of Fitter, Turner, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Welder, Electrician, Sewing Technology, Machinist, Plastic Processing Operator, Information & Communication Technology System Maintenance, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant, Mechanic Diesel, Fashion Design & Technology, E-Commerce and Tours & Travel Assistant etc..
